An islamic scholar Mukarram AbdurRazzaq Atoki has identified the fear of God as crucial to getting prayers answered.
The cleric who identified this as an integral spirit which should be imbibed by anyone truly seeking the face of God with hopes said this attracts the pleasure of Allah.
Mukarram Atoki while delivering the morning Darsul Quran on the first day of Jalsa Salana Nigeria 2023 said as contained in Al-Hakam Vol.6 pg. 30, “There are two major obstacles to the efficacy of prayers, a reason for which the grandeur and importance of prayers remain hidden to many. First, is the fear of Allah and second is that the acceptance of prayers and efforts are only granted to the righteous”
The cleric enjoined Muslims to uphold piety and sacrifice in the cause of Allah, he quoted Hazrat Maulvi Hakim Nurudeen (ra) where he mentioned, “One should adopt the fear of Allah so He can be pleased with him and include him in the company of those whose sacrifices, prayers, supplications and actions would be accepted by God”.
“The real meaning of sacrifice is to annihilate yourself completely in the pleasure of Allah, and in return, He makes Himself so close to His servant that he becomes of His Choicest”.
He emphasised the need for Muslims especially Ahmadis to work hard and continuously pray to Allah for provision.
