One of the earliest revelations of Ahmad (as), The Promised Messiah (as) writes: “Thy God is well pleased with what thou hast done. He will bless thee greatly, so much so that Kings will seek blessings from thy garments.” (Braheen Ahmadiyya Part IV pp. 520-521. sub footnote 3). This prophecy has come to manifestation in several places and occasions where rulers have sought light from the guidance of the Promised Messiah (as) and in other cases where his rays of blessings have lightened the world.
Just recently at the Jalsa Salana Nigeria, this prophecy came to pass while distinguished guests of the Promised Messiah not only acknowledged the truthfulness of the message of the Holy One but also enjoyed the spiritual nourishment from his pot of blessings.
At the Nigeria Jalsa Salana 2023, held between 22nd and 24th December, with the theme, Taqwa: Pathway to Justice and Peace, Oba Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle
Olu of Ilaro, Paramount Ruler of YewaLand was full of gratitude for the theme of the Jalsa which focused on Taqwa and Peace, in his words, he said, “Without the fear of Allāh, the world would be in a state of confusion”.
The king continued to acknowledge the essence of Taqwa as detailed by the humble followers of the Promised Messiah where he reiterated: “The atrocities committed by humanity often stem from a lack of fear for Almighty Allah in our hearts. I earnestly advocate for the supremacy of the fear of Almighty Allah to prevail within our hearts”.
Also at the event, Hon. Ishak Salako, Minister of State, Environment and Ecological Management praised the peaceful teachings of the Promised Messiah and addressed the current need of the world which is peace, he said, “You are representatives of Allah on Earth and this is the time you are being put to test to keep upholding Peace”.
In his speech, Honorable Yahya Ismail, Commissioner for Special Duties, Kogi state further included that Ahmadis are the guiding light of the world, he encouraged Ahmadi youths to be involved in political matters to shape a Nigeria with collective dreams. He continued, “The theme ‘Taqwa: Pathway to Justice and Peace’; is what the world needs”.
Mr. Akogun Laurence, Area Commander, The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), Ilaro said while delivering his address, “I thank God for the opportunity to stand before the men of God. It is my honor to be here, fortifying myself with prayers in preparation for the next year. I advise that we maintain dedication, diligence, and discipline in our prayers. Let us uphold the spirit of prayer, especially as we approach the new year.”
“No ammunition on earth can secure one but prayer. Keep the spirit of prayer by continuing to congregate for prayer (Jalsa)”, he added.
