In a grand celebration of intellectual brilliance and professional mastery, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria has honoured 68 of its members for outstanding academic and career achievements during the 71st Jalsa Salana.
The awards ceremony held on December 20, 2025, a longstanding hallmark of the annual convention, was presided over by the Amir (National President), Alhaji (Barr.) Alatoye Folorunso Azeez, who presented plaques to the deserving members. The event reaffirmed the Jama’at’s unwavering commitment to a holistic philosophy of education, one that views academic success and professional excellence as vital components of spiritual and societal service.
Coordinated by the National Ta’leem (Education) Secretary, Engr. Tajudeen Oladoja, this year’s edition saw a significant rise in the number of honorees, with a total of 68 awardees, an increase from 46 recorded in 2024, comprising 41 males and 27 females—a testament to the community’s inclusiveness and balanced support for both genders in the pursuit of knowledge.
The awardees represented a wide spectrum of unparalleled achievement. At the zenith of the list were members who had attained the distinguished rank of Professorship and those who had earned Doctorate degrees (Ph.D.). They were joined by a host of scholars who had completed Master’s degrees, as well as Bachelor’s and Higher National Diploma (HND) graduates who finished with outstanding grades.

Beyond the walls of the university, professional excellence was equally celebrated. The Amir recognized achievers across various industries, including Chartered Accountants, registered Estate Surveyors and Valuers, Fellows of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), and engineers registered with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
Demonstrating the Jama’at’s unique balance of secular and religious training, special recognition was also given to the best graduating students of Jamia Ahmadiyya (the community’s theological seminary), alongside younger members who achieved distinction in their Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations (SSCE).
The session, witnessed by thousands of attendees, was both celebratory and inspirational. It served not only to reward past efforts but to ignite passion in the younger generation, reinforcing the message that in Islam Ahmadiyyat, the pen of the scholar and the prayer of the worshipper go hand in hand for the advancement of society.
